Jeev Kadgi Bajo



Bread Fruit is also called as JEEV KADGI inkonkani and DEEVIGE HALASU  in kannada.this is a part of konkani cuisine.Bajo means bonda in konkani.Tastes yummy with hot cup of coffee.

INGREDIENTS:

Jeev kadgi cut into thin slices (20 slices
Put  the slices in water  (otherwise it will become brown)
1 cup bengal gram flour(besan)
1/4 tsp assafoetida powder(hing)
1 tsp chilli powder
2 tsp rice flour
A pinch of cooking soda
Salt to taste
Oil for frying

PROCEDURE:


  • Make a thick batter using ingredients no 2 to 7 using water
  • Dip the kadgi slices in the batter and deep fry till crispy
  • Serve hot with hot coffee
