Tomato Carrot Rice
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups basmati rice
2 chopped carrot
2 tomatoes
2 green chillies
5 garlic cloves
1/2 tsp haldi powder(turmeric powder)
1 tsp biryani masala
5 tsp oil
Salt to taste
PROCEDURE:
- Make a paste of chopped tomatoes ,green chillies,garlic and keep
- In cooker take oil ,add onion slices and saute for 5 minutes
- Add ground paste and fry well
- Add Haldi, biryani masala, and fry
- Put rice and chopped carrot and stir
- Add salt,3 1/2 cups of water and cover the lid
- After 2 whistles switch off the gas
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with raita
