Lemon Chiffon Cake
The recipe of this yummy cake belongs to MASTER CHEF SANJEEV KAPOOR. he is one of my favourite chef.I have tried many of his recipes.
INGREDIENTS:
Lemon juice 2 tblsp + 1/2 cups
Sugar powder 1 1/2 cups
Lemon peel grated 2 1/2 tblsp
Maida 2 cups
Baking powder 1 tblsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Oil 1/2 cup
Eggs separated 8
1/4 cup water
PROCEDURE:
- Put egg yolks in a bowl and beat well
- Add lime juice and lemon peel grated to it and mix
- Put the oil and mix well 1/4 cup water to it and mix
- Seive refined flour,baking powder and salt in another bowl
- Place egg whites in a bowl and beat well
- add sugar powder to it and mix
- Add egg yolk mixture to the flour mixture and mix
- Add egg whites little by little mixing with each addition till every thing is incorporated.
- Grease the baking tray and pour the batter in it and tap it
- Bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes in preheated oven
- Serve with tea or coffee
