Masala Methi poori with Jeera dal


INGREDIENTS  FOR POORI:

2 cups wheat flour
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 cup chopped fenugreek leaves(methi)
2 tsp oil
Salt to taste
water as required
Oil for deep frying
Knead the tight dough with above ingredients

PROCEDURE:

  • Devide the dough into small balls
  • Roll into pooris and deep fry it


INGREDIENTS FOR DAL:

1 cup toor dal
2 finely chopped tomatoes
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
pinch of asafoetida(hing)
Boil the above ingredients with 2 cups of water in cooker for 3-4 whistles
Tempering:
2 tsp ghee
1.5 tsp chilli powder
2 tsp cumin seeds
Salt to taste
chopped coriander leaves for garnishing

PROCEDURE:

  • Transfer the boiled dal in a vessel and boil with salt to taste
  • Add the tempering to it and garnish with chopped coriander leaves
  • Serve hot with  hot pooris
