Tomato Rice


This recipe belongs to Master chef sanjeev Kapoor !! You can prepare this for lunch box and also for breakfast!! You can use leftover rice also!
INGREDIENTS:

1 cup cooked rice
1 finely chopped tomato
Salt to taste
chopped coriander leaves for garnishing

FOR THE MASALA POWDER:

 2 tsp chana dal
2 tsp coriander seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 tsp sesame seeds
1 tsp poppy seeds
5-6 dry red chillies
Dry roast the above ingredients and make fine powder and store it in a jar.

FOR TEMPERING:
4-5 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
1sprig of curry leaf
1/2 tsp asafoetida
1/2 tsp turmeric powder

PROCEDURE:
In a pan heat oil and add the tempering ingredients one by one
Put the chopped tomatoes and fry till it becomes mushy
add the 2-3 tsp masala powder and fry for a minute
Add the cooked rice ,salt to taste and chopped coriander leaves
serve with raita

NOTE:
Use the rice cooked in cooker only
