Palak Masoor Dal
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup soaked masoor (whole masoor)
1/2 cup chopped palak
4 tsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds/ jeera
1 finely chopped onion
1 tomato chopped
5 finely chopped garlic cloves
1/2 inch ginger chopped
1 green chilli finely chopped
1/2 tsp turmeric pdr/ haldi
1 tsp chilli pdr
1/2 tsp garam masala
2 tblsp curd
1 tsp kasuri methi
1 tsp fresh cream
Salt to taste
chopped coriander leaves

PROCEDURE:
- Pressure cook masoor with 2 cups water for 3 whistles
- In a pan heat oil ,add jeera,onion chopped and saute til it becomes translucent
- Add ginger garlic ,green chillies and fry
- Put the chopped tomatoes and cook till they become mushy
- Add the chopped palak ,salt and saute for 5 mins
- Put all the other spices and fry for 2 mins
- Now add the cooked masoor,kasuri methi,curd and boil for 5 mins
- Add water if needed
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and fresh cream
- Serve hot with hot phulkas,naan or any rice!!
