Knol Kol Sukke


INGREDIENTS:
2 knol kol / Navil kosu cut into chunks
1 potato cut into chunks
Salt to taste

FOR THE MASALA:
3/4 cup grated coconut
lil tamarind
2 tsp urad dal roasted in lil oil
4 red chillies roasted in lil oil
grind the above ingredients into a semi coarse masala paste

FOR THE TEMPERING:
3 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
1 sprig of curry leaf
3-4 methi seeds

PROCEDURE:

  • Wash the knol kol, potato chunks and cook in cooker with 1/2 cup water
  • Transfer in a pan ,add salt,masala paste and give a boil
  • The consistency should be semi thick
  • Add the tempering and serve hot with rice and dal!!
  • You can use any other veggies like,madrs cucumber,cantola,yam,ridgegourd,etc...
