Paneer Masala


THANKS TO MY FRIEND ANITHA SHENOY FOR THIS WONDERFUL PANEER MASALA RECIPE!! THE ORIGINAL RECIPE IS CHICKEN MASALA ,BUT I SUBSTITUTED CHICKEN WITH PANEER !! TASTES AWESOME !!!

Ingredients :
Paneer 200 gms
Onion-1big sliced
Tomato-1 big chopped
Curd-1/2 cup
Chilly powder-1 tsp
Turmeric-1/4 tsp
Pepper powder-1/2 tsp
Coriander powder-2 tsp
Tandoori chicken masala
Ginger+garlic paste-1 tbsp
Coriander leaves-1 cup
Salt to taste
Butter-2 tsp
OiI
PROCEDURE:
  • Heat oil in a pan ,saute onions and fry till transparent
  • Add ginger garlic paste and fry till nice aroma comes
  • Add all the spice powders except pepper powder
  • Put the chopped tomatoes ,saute it and cook on a slow flamefor 2-4 mins
  • Beat the curd well and add to the masala with salt
  • When oil leaves the sides of the pan ,add paneer pieces,coriander leaves and 1/2 cup hot water
  • Cover the lid and cook for 2 mins
  • Add butter, pepper pdr  and mix well 
  • Serve hot with poori,naan or phulkas !!
