Cheppi Surnali/ Buttermilk Dosa
INGREDIENTS:
3 cups dosa rice
3 tblsp urad dal
1 cup curd
1 cup poha
1/2 tsp methi seeds(fenugreek)
Salt to taste
2-3 tsp rice flour
1/2 tsp cooking soda
Oil for cooking dosa
PROCEDURE:
- Wash rice, urad dal well soak in water with methi seeds for 5-6 hrs
- Grind with poha,curd into a fine batter,add rice flour and keep overnight for fermentation
- Next day add salt cooking soda, ,water if needed and adjust the consistency
- Heat tava ,and make thick dosa ad cook on a medium flame covered with a lid
- Cook dosa on only one side
- Serve hot with coconut chutney !!!
