Dry Mackarel Ghashi
INGREDIENTS:
2 dried mackarels/ bangude/ raju
Salt to taste
6-8 crushed garlic cloves (with skin)
3 tsp coconut oil
FOR THE MASALA :
3/4 cup grated fresh coconut
4-5 dry red chillies roasted in 1/2 tsp oil
Little tamarind
Grind the above ingredients into a fine paste and keep aside
PROCEDURE:
- Cut and clean the fish well
- Add masala and little water ,adjust the consistency (semi thick gravy)
- Add salt to taste (be careful while adding salt because the fish already has salt)
- Add crushed garlic cloves ,coconut oil and make it boil for 10 mins
- Serve hot with rice and enjoy !!!
