Green Peas Utthappam
4 cups of dosa rice
1 cup urad dal
1/2 tsp methi seeds
1/4 cup poha
Salt to taste
Oil for cooking dosa
PROCEDURE:
- Soak rice,dal and methi seeds in water for 5-6 hrs
- Wash it ,add washed poha and grind into a fine paste
- Keep overnight for fermentation
FOR THE TOPPING:
1 cup blanched and slightly crushed fresh green peas
1 chopped onion
2 finely chopped green chillies(optional)
chopped coriander leaves
Salt to taste
In 2 tsp oil saute onions ,green peas and green chillies for 5 mins,add salt,coriander leaves and keep aside
PROCEDURE OF MAKING UTTHAPPAM:
- Add salt to the dosa batter and adjust the consistency adding water(semi thick consistency)
- Heat tava ,take one laddle of batter and put on tava,put the topping and spread dosa with your fingers
- Add 2-3 tsp oil and cook dosa on both the sides
- Serve hot with coconut chutney !!!
