Andhra Pulihora
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup cooked rice (cooked in cooker with 2 cups of water )
Salt to taste
3 tsp black sesame seeds dry roasted and powdered
For the tempering:
5 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
curry leaves
2 tsp urad dal
2 tsp chana dal
3 tsp peanuts
3 slit green chillies
1 broken red chilli
1/2 tsp turmeric pdr
1/2 tsp hing pdr/ asafoetida
2 tsp tamarind pulp
PROCEDURE:
- Heat oil in a pan ,put mustard,hing,curry leaves,when mustard starts crackling,add chana dal,urad dal,peanuts and fry till it becomes brown and crisp
- Add turmeric pdr,red chilli,tamarind pulp and mix
- Add the cooked rice,sesame pdr ,salt to taste and toss well
- Serve with pickle or raita !!
