Green Peas Upkari


1 cup fresh green peas
4 tsp oil
2 slit green chillies
1 tsp mustard
1 sprig curry leaves
1/2 tsp hing/ asafoetida pdr
3 tblsp grated fresh coconut
Salt to taste


  • In cooker heat oil ,add mustard,when it starts crackling add curry leaves,green chillies 
  • Fry for 2 mins, add hing ,green peas and salt to taste 
  • Add 1/2 cup water and mix well,close the cooker lid
  • Switch off the gas after 2-3 whistles
  • Open the lid once the steam is released,add coconut gratings and toss well
  • Serve hot with rice and dal !!!
