Green Peas Upkari


INGREDIENTS:
1 cup fresh or frozen green peas
1 potato cut into small cubes
3 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
1 sprig curry leaf
3 green chillies finely chopped
1 tsp hing/ asafoetida pdr
3 tblsp grated fresh coconut
Salt to taste

PROCEDURE:

  • In cooker heat oil,add mustard  ,when it crackles,add curry leaves,green chillies
  • Fry for a second,add hing and fry again
  • Now add the green peas,potato,salt to taste mix well
  • Add 1/2 cup water and cook for 2 -3 whistles
  • Once the steam of cooker is released ,open the lid,add grated coconut and toss well
  • Serve hot with rice and dal !!!
