Green Peas Upkari
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup fresh or frozen green peas
1 potato cut into small cubes
3 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
1 sprig curry leaf
3 green chillies finely chopped
1 tsp hing/ asafoetida pdr
3 tblsp grated fresh coconut
Salt to taste
PROCEDURE:
- In cooker heat oil,add mustard ,when it crackles,add curry leaves,green chillies
- Fry for a second,add hing and fry again
- Now add the green peas,potato,salt to taste mix well
- Add 1/2 cup water and cook for 2 -3 whistles
- Once the steam of cooker is released ,open the lid,add grated coconut and toss well
- Serve hot with rice and dal !!!
