Til ki chikki
INGREDIENTS:
3/4 cup roasted white til / sesame seeds
2 tblsp roasted peanuts
1/2 cup jaggery
1.5 tsp ghee
PROCEDURE:
- Heat a pan and roast the sesame seeds on a low flame until it becomes light brown and crisp,remove and keep aside
- Dry roast peanuts,deskin it and crush it little
- Heat ghee in same pan ,add jaggery,and cook on a medium flame for 3 mins stirring continuously
- Boil well till it starts frothing.Drop a spoon of syrup in a bowl of water .it should form a pellet
- Switch off the gas ,add roasted til ,peanuts ,mix well
- Put the mixture over the back of a greased thali or smooth stone surface
- Roll it out thinly using rolling pin/ belan
- Make cuts using sharp knife,allow it to cool
- Once cooled,store in an airtight container !!!
