Kadai Mushrooms


INGREDIENTS:
1 pack of mushrooms
5 tsp oil
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
2 tblsp crumbled paneer
1/4 cup milk 
2 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp dhaniya powder
2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp kitchen king masala powder
2 tsp kasuri methi
Salt to taste
Chopped coriander leaves

FOR THE MASALA:
2 onions roughly chopped
2 small tomatoes roughly chopped
2 tsp khus khus / poppy seeds
2 tblsp melon seeds or cashew nuts
In 1/2 cup water boil the above ingredients for 5 mins ,let it cool and grind into a fine paste

PROCEDURE:

  • Wash the mushrooms and quarter them
  • In a pan heat oil  add ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell disappears,add the masala paste and fry for 5 mins
  • Add all the spice powders one by one and fry for 2 mins
  • Add the mushrooms,salt to taste and mix well ,cook with a lid covered
  • Once it is cooked add the crumbled paneer (this makes the gravy rich )
  • Now add the milk, kasuri methi and give a quick boil
  • Check for salt, garnish with chopped coriander leaves
  • Serve hot with roti, phulka or poori
