Methi Kadhi


INGREDIENTS:
1 cup buttermilk
3 tsp besan/ bengal gram flour
1/2 tsp turmeric pdr
Salt to taste

FOR TADKA / TEMPERING:
3 tsp oil
1 tsp jeera/ cumin seeds
1/2 tsp hing / Asafoetida pdr
2 chopped green chillies
1 red chilli
1 sprig of curry leaves
1/4 cupfinely chopped methi / Fenugreek leaves

PROCEDURE:

  • In a bowl take buttermilk,turmeric pdr,besan and mix this to form a smooth  mixture 
  • Add half cup water to it and keep aside
  • In a pan heat oil add jeera,hing,curry leaves,red chilli and green chillies,fry for a minute
  • Add the chopped methi leaves ,little salt and fry till it is cooked
  • Add the buttermilk mixture,water toadjust the consistency ,salt to taste and boil till it becomes thick 
  • And your kadhi is ready to serve with hot rice and pickle.
