Hara Bhara Kabab


INGREDIENTS:
2 boiled and mashed potatoes
1/4 cup fresh green peas
8 palak/ spinach leaves
2 green chillies
1/2 inch ginger piece
2 tblsp besan or cornflour
1 tsp chat masala
1 tsp roasted jeera pdr
1/2 tsp amchur / dry mango pdr
Chopped coriander leaves
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Cashew nuts(optional)
Bread crumbs

PROCEDURE:

  • Blanch green peas and palak leaves,drain out all the water and crush in the mixer with green chillies and ginger
  • Put boiled mashed potatoes in th a bowl,add crushed palk,peas mixture ,besa,salt,amchur,chat masala,jeera pdr,chopped coriander leaves
  • Combine all the ingredients well,devide into portions and make balls
  • Flatten the balls and shape into tikkis ,roll them in the bread crumbs
  • Deep fry them  till they turn golden brown (you can also shallow fry)
  • Serve hot with ketchup or green chutney
