Masala dosa
INGREDIENTS:
1.5 cps dosa rice/ raw rice
1/2 cup boiled rice/ ukda chaval
2 tsp toor dal
1 tsp methi / fenugreek seeds
1/2 cup urad dal
1/2 cup poha/ avalakki/ beaten rice
Salt to taste
Pinch of sugar
Oil for cooking dosa
PROCEDURE:
- Soak rice,dal,methi in water for 5-6 hrs. Wash soaked rice and poha well
- Grind all the ingredients into a fine paste
- Let it ferment for 8 hrs or overnight.Add salt, sugar and 2 tsp fine rava/ semolina to the batter and mix well
- Heat tava,sprinkle some water and spread a laddle full of dosa batter and make thin dosa
- Drizzle with oil or ghee and cook on a medium flame
- Serve hot with potato sabi and coconut chutney
