Lemon Saaru

Thanks to my FB friend Anu Nayak for this recipe!!
1/2 cup grated fresh coconut
2 green chillies
1 tsp oil
Salt to taste
Jaggery to taste
2 tsp lime juice

For tempering:
2 tsp ghee
1 tsp mustard
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
Curry leaves


  • Cut the green chillies and fry in oil for 2-3 mins
  • Grind it with coconut,salt into a fine paste
  • Transfer the ground paste in a vessel ,add jaggery,lime juice and water according to your taste
  • Temper with the mentioned ingredients 
  • Serve with rice!!
  • This saaru is used without boiling !!
