Benne Dosa
It is a popularly known as Davangere Benne dosa. It is prepared by adding liberal amount of butter and usually served with chutney and potato bhaji. |
4 cups Dosa Rice
1 tsp Meethi Seeds
1 cup Urad Dal
2 cups Poha (flattened rice)
2 tbsp Maida
1/2 tsp Sugar
Salt to taste
1/4 tsp cooking soda
PROCEDURE:
- Soak dosa rice, meethi seeds and urad dal for 5-6 hrs.
- Grind this to form a fine batter along with poha.
- Let the batter ferment over-night.
- Before spreading the dosa, add maida, sugar, salt and cooking soda to the batter.
- Make thick dosas with generous amount of butter.
