Kathal Masala



INGREDIENTS:

2 cups kathal pieces ( raw jackfruit)
2 onions
2 green chillies
1 tomato
1/2 cup chopped corriander leaves
3 cloves garlic
1/2 inch ginger
3 tsp oil
 1/2 tsp haldi powder
3 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp  daniya  powder
2 tsp jeera powder
2 tbsp milk powder
1 tsp kasuri methi
salt to taste

PROCEDURE:


  • Parboil jackfruit pieces with salt and deep fry
  •  In 1/2 tsp oil roast 1 chopped onion,green chillies,1/4 cup corriander  leaves,1 chopped tomato,ginger and garlic  and grind this to fine paste
  • In a pan take 3 tsp oil and fry  remaining chopped onion
  • Add haldi, daniya jeera powder, red chilli powder and fry for a second
  • Now add the masala  , 1/2 cup water and stir it
  • Put deep fried jackfruit pieces ,milk powder salt to taste  n make it boil
  • Finally garnish with daniya leaves and kasuri methi
NOTE  U can also use cream or khova  instead of milk powder
