Neer dosa with Coconut Chooran


NEER DOSA  is a delicacy from South Karnataka.Neer dosa is also called PANPOLO in konkani.NEERU is the word for water in kannada and tulu .This dosa is named so as the batter is watery.in Mangalore this dosa is served with fish and chicken curry  in many restaurants.
usually we serve this with jaggery syrup called RAVO or with a mixture of jaggery andcoconut called CHOORAN.

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup dosa rice
1/4 cup fresh grated coconut
Salt to taste

PROCEDURE;


  • Soak rice in water for 5-6 hours , grind toa fine paste
  • Add enough water , salt (batter should be watery)
  • Heat tava put little oil and spread this batter  and cover.
  • After 3 minutes dosa is ready 
  • No fermentation required
For coconut chooran:
Take 1 cup jaggery ,1/4 cup water and make it boil .When it becomes little thick add 1/2 cup grated coconut ,cardamom powder and stor for 5 minutes . Serve with neer dosa
