Spinach Spring onion rice


INGREDIENTS:

2 cups cooked rice
1 cup chopped spinach
1 cup chopped spring onion greens
1/2 cup spring onion white parts
3 slit green chillies
1/4 cup chopped carrot
1 tsp biryani masala
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp chopped garlic
Salt to taste
5 tsp oil or ghee
corriander leaves
1 tsp lime juice

PROCEDURE:


  • Cook rice in cooker with salt and cool it
  • In a pan take oil or ghee and saute garlic, onion and green chillies
  • Add onion, carrot and cover till it is cooked
  • Put chopped spinach.spring onion and salt
  • Add biryani  masala , turmeric powder , rice and salt if needed
  • Mix well ,add lime juice and garnish with corriander leaves 
  • Serve hot with raita
