Methi poori with Korma


INGREDIENTS  FOR POORI:

2 cups wheat flour
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 cup chopped fenugreek leaves(methi)
2 tsp oil
Salt to taste
water as required
Oil for deep frying
Knead the tight dough with above ingredients

PROCEDURE:

  • Devide the dough into small balls
  • Roll into pooris and deep fry it
KORMA INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup green peas
1 small carrot cut into cubes
5 beans finely chopped
1 onion finely chopped
1 finely chopped tomato
1/4 cup milk
5 tsp oil
Salt to taste
1 tsp kasuri methi
Chopped coriamder leaves

FOR THE MASALA PASTE:
2 tblsp grated fresh coconut
1/2 chopped onion
8 cashew nuts
5 garlic cloves
1/2 inch ginger
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp red chilli powder
1 lavang
small piece of cinnamon
1 tsp coriander seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
Grind these into a fine paste

PROCEDURE:
  • Cook the veggies in cooker with 1/2 cup  water for 2 whistles
  • Heat oil in a pan,saute chopped onions till light brown in colour
  • Add chopped tomato and fry till it becomes mushy
  • add the masala paste and fry well ,till the raw smell goes
  • Add the cooked veggies,salt ,mix well and give a boil
  • Add milk,kasuri methi and give a quick boil
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
