Prawns Pulav with Aloo Fry


INGREDIENTS:
15 prawns cleaned and deveined
1 cup basmati rice washed and soaked inwater for 20 mins
6 tsp ghee or oil
1 big onion sliced
2 green chillies slit
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
12 tsp turmeric pdr
2 tsp Everest  biryani masala pdr
Salt to taste
Chopped coriander leaves

MARINATE PRAWNS WITH:
1/2 tsp turmeric pdr
1/2 tsp red chilli pdr
3 tblsp curd
Salt to taste
Marinate the cleaned prawns and keep for 20 mins

PROCEDURE:

  • Drain water from the rice and keep aside
  • Heat oil,saute onion slices till transparent,add green chillies,ginger garlic paste and fry for a second
  • Add turmeric pdr, biryani masala pdr and fry for a second
  • Now add the marinated prawns and cook for 5 mins
  • Add the soaked rice and fry for 5 mins,add salt to taste, 1.5 cups water and close the lid of cooker
  • Cook for 2 whistles and turn off the flame
  • Once the steam is released,open the lid , add chopped coriander leaves
  • Serve hot with raitha
ALOO FRY INGREDIENTS:
2 potatoes peeled and cut into small slices
1 big onion sliced
6 finely chopped garlic cloves
1/2 inch ginger chopped
2 green chillies
4 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
curry leaves
2 tsp red chilli paste or chilli powder
1 tomato finely chopped
2 tsp soya sauce
1 tsp ketchup
Salt to taste

Marinate potatoes with salt,1/2 tsp chilli pdr,3 tblsp corn flour and 2 tblsp rice flour and deep fry .

PROCEDURE:
  • In a pan heat oil,add mustard ,once it crackles add curry leaves , chopped ginger ,garlic,green chillies and fry for 2 mins
  • Add sliced onions and sute for 5 mins
  • Add chopped tomatoes and  cook till it becomes mushy,add chilli paste,soya sauce,ketchup and toss well
  • Add 1/4 cup water and cook for 2-3 mins, once it thickens add the fried potatoes,salt andtoss well
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with any rice .
