Taikile Ambado/ Tora leaves fritters
Taikilo or Cassia Tora leaves or Chegate soppu is often seen only in monsoon season.We prepare varieties of dishes with these leaves like taikile muddo / steamed dumplings, Taikile tambli, Taikile sanna polo / spicy dosa etc etc.. All these dishes goes well with rice and dalithoy.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup dosa rice
3 tblsp roasted urad dal powder
5-6 tsp red chilli powder
Salt to aste
1.5 cups finely chopped taikilo
PROCEDURE:
- Soak rice in water for 2-3 hrs,wash well
- Dry roast urad dal till light brown, make fine powder and keep aside
- Clean the greens and wash well, chop finely and keep aside
- Grind rice with salt into a thick paste using very little water
- Keep the batter little coarse
- Put the batter in a bowl, add chilli pdr as per your taste,chopped greens and roasted dal powder
- Mix well ,heat oil. Make round balls with the batter,flatten it a little and deep fry on a medium flame
- Fry till it becomes brown and crisp
- Serve hot with rice and dal
