Rava Tarkari Rotti
1 cup fine rava / sooji / semolina
2-3 finely chopped green chillies
1 chopped onion
2 sprigs of curry leaves finely chopped
1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves
1/2 cup grated cucumber
1/2 cup finely chopped green beans
1 grated carrot
1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
1 tsp jeera / cumin seeds
Salt to taste
PROCEDURE:
- Take all the above ingredients in a bowl , mix well
- Add little water and prepare the dough.
- Keep aside the dough for 30 mins
- Make lemon size balls out of the dough
- Grease the tava / pan, place the ball of the dough
- flatten it using your hands to prepare the rotis
- Cook the roti on both sides adding oil
- Serve hot with chutney and butter.
- You can also prepare the rotis on plastic sheets or banana leaf and then transfer it on to the tava.
INGREDIENTS FOR GARLIC CHUTNEY:
1 cup fresh coconut gratings
Chickpea size tamarind
Salt to taste
2 red chillies roasted in little oil
4 garlic cloves
Grind the above ingredients into a fine paste adding little water.
