Aam ka Panna / Raw mango juice

1/2 kg raw mango
1 cup sugar
4 tsp black salt
2 tsp roasted cumin /jeera powder
1/2 tsp pepper powder
1/2 tsp saffron colour


  • Wash, peel and cut mangoes intp chunks, put in the cooker and add enough water to cover them 
  • Close the lid of the cooker and cook on a high flame for two whistles
  • Turn off the flame,once the steam is released open the cooker ,let the mangoes cool down
  • Blend the boiled mango chunks  and make a smooth paste
  • Add sugar,  black salt,jeera powder, pepper powder and saffron colour, mix well
  • Add 5-6 cups of chilled water and mix
  • Serve chilled panna with ice cubes ,garnished with fresh mint leaves.
