Carrot Methi Rice



INGREDIENTS:

1 cup rice
1 sliced onion
1 chopped tomato
5 tsp oil
1 tsp jeera
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp biryani masala
1sliced carrot
1/2 cup chopped methi leaves (fenugreek)
coriander leaves
 Salt to taste

PROCEDURE:

  • Cook 1 cup rice with 2 cups of water and salt to taste in cooker (3 whistles)
  • In a pan take oil, add jeera and onion slices and saute for 5 minutes
  • Add ginger garlic paste and chopped tomato and fry till tomato becomes soft
  • Add  sliced carrots ,little salt and cover till it is cooked
  • Add chopped methi leaves and fry toss for 5 minutes
  • Put all spices and fry
  • Add cooked rice and mix well  and garnish with coriander leaves
  • Serve with raita
