Lazeez Murg Tikka Masala


1/2 kg chicken pieces
 for marination:
2 tblsp curd
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
salt to taste
1/4 tsp turmeric  powder
1 tsp kasuri methi(dry fenugreek leaves)
3 tsp besan(gram flour)

For gravy:
4 tsp oil +1 tsp
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 chopped onion
2 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp chopped ginger and garlic
1/4 cup tomato puree
3 tsp khova
1 tsp kasuri methi
3 tsp fresh cream
1 cup onion and capsicum cut into cubes
Coriander leaves for garnishing


  • Wash and cut chicken into small pieces
  • Marinate with the ingredients and keep in fridge for 1 hour
  • Grill it or roast it on tava and keep aside
  • In a pan take 1 tsp oil and saute capsicum, onion cubes with little salt and keep
  • In same pan heat 4 tsp  oil ,add cumin seeds
  • Add chopped onion and fry till translucent
  • Put chopped ginger garlic and fry
  • Add turmeric and coriander powder
  • Put tomato puree and saute for 5 minutes
  • Add khova,kasuri methi,cream
  • Now add the grilled chicken tikkas,stir fried capsicum,onion cubes,salt to taste and cook for 5 minutes
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or rice
