Masala Akki Rotti

MASALA AKKI ROTTI OR LEFT OVER RICE BHAKRI recipe belongs to VIDYA BAINDUR, one of my face book friend!! Thanku Vidya for the awesome recipe!!

1 cup leftover rice
1 1/2 cups rice flour
3 finely chopped green chillies
chopped curry leaves
chopped coriander leaves
2 chopped onions
salt to taste
oil for shallow frying


  • Mash the rice well with your hands and add allother ingredients (except oil)
  • Add water as required and make a soft dough
  • Devide the dough into equal portions
  • Take one portion and pat on a greased paper or plastic sheet andmake a thin rotti
  • Heat tava and transfer the rotti/bhakri on it
  • Add 2-3 tsp oil and shallow fry on both the sides
  • Serve hot with any chutney of your choice
For chutney:1 cup grated coconut,2 green chillies,salt to taste,little tamarind,1/4 cup coriander leaves and little ginger
