Nugge Soppina Tambli


INGREDIENTS:
1/4 cup very tender drumstick leaves (nugge soppu /Mashinga sange pallo
1/2 cup buttermilk
salt to taste
1/4 cup fresh grated coconut
2  tsp jeera(cumin seeds)
1/4 tsp pepper corns
1 tsp oil

FOR TEMPERING:
2 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
1 sprig curry leaves
pinch asafotida
1 red chilli

PROCEDURE:

  • Wash and clean drumsick leaves
  • In a pan heat 1 tsp oil and roast leaves,pepper and jeera
  • Grind it with coconut  ,salt  to a fine paste
  • Transfer it  in a serving bowl, add buttermilk and 1/4 cup water
  • Add the tempering and serve chilled with hot rice
