Avarekaalu akki rotti

2 cups rice flour/akki hittu
1/2 cup boiled flat beans/avarekaalu
1 onion finely chopped
3 green chillies crushed
1/4 cup grated coconut
2 tsp cumin seeds/jeera
1 sprig curry leaves chopped
chopped coriander leaves
Salt to taste
Water to knead the dough
Oil for cooking


  • Mix all the above ingredients with water and make a soft dough
  • Take a handful of dough and spread it on greased alluminium foil or banana leaf 
  • shape into roti as thin as you can
  • Heat tava ,put 1 tsp oil and transfer the roti on it and cook on both the sides
  • Serve hot with coconut chutney
