Gobi Masaledar
2 cups gobi cut into florets
1/4 cup chopped onion
4 tsp oil
curry leaves
1 chopped tomato
Salt to taste
chopped coriander le aves
FOR THE MASALA:
1/4 cup fresh grated coconut
2 tsp red chilli pdr
3 tsp peanuts roasted
1/2 tsp turmeric pdr
2 tsp khus khus (poppy seeds)
1 small piece cinnamon(dalchini)
1/2 inch ginger
6 garlic cloves
Grind the above ingredients into a fine paste adding little water only if needed
PROCEDURE:
- Cut the gobi and put in salt water for 10 mins
- In a kadai take oil and put curry leaves,chopped onion and saute till onion becomes transparent
- Add chopped tomato and fry for 4-5 mins
- Add gobi, salt and cover with a lid
- When it is half cooked add the masala and cook again
- Dont add water.
- when it is done garnish with chopped coriander leaves
