Boondi Ladoo

Tried this boondi ladoo for the first time ,after I saw the yummy post of my cousin Vijaya shenoy!!It came out very well ,so thought sharing the recipe with all of you !!Thanku so much Vijaya for the wonderful recipe !!
IINGREDIENTS:
2 cups sugar
1 cup water
1 1/2 cups besan/bengal gram flour
1 tsp cardamom pdr
few saffron strands
oil for deep frying
2 tsp ghee
yellow food colour(optional)
PROCEDURE:
  • In a kadai put water ,sugar and keep on a medium flame and boil it till you get the one thread string consistency
  • Put off the flame and add kesar,cardamom pdr,colour and ghee
  • Simultaneously  in another kadai keep enough oil to fry boondis
  • Mix besan with enough water to make a thick batter of dropping consistency
  • Now take a big spoonful of the batter and pour it through a boondi making pan into medium heat oil
  • Take out boondis after 2 mins,they shoud not be crisp
  • Put the boondis into the sugar syrup,keep doing this till all the batter is used up
  • Keep stirring boondis in syrup intermittently 
  • The mix will thicken in 30-40 mins and then make ladoos
