Garlic Nippattu


INGREDIENTS:
2 cups rice flour
1/2 cup Maida
2 tsp  Sesame seeds/ White Til
1 tblsp roasted gram dal/Putani/ Hurigadale
3 tblsp peanuts
2 tsp red chilli pdr
5-6 green chillies 
3-4 sprigs of curry leaves
1 tsp asafoetida/ hing pdr
8 garlic cloves(optional)
2-3 tblsp butter
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying


PROCEDURE:

  • Dry roast the peanuts, remove the skin and slightly crush 
  • Finely chop the green chillies, peeled garlic cloves and curry leaves
  • In a bowl take rice flour,maida,salt and mix well
  • Add all the other ingredients,mix well
  • Adding water to the ingredients,make a soft dough (softer than roti dough)
  • Grease one plastic sheet or banana leaf , devide the dough into small portions
  • Make balls and flatten them with the help of your fingers  and shape into semi thick nippats
  • Heat oil and deep fry themon a medium flame , till they become brown and crispy
  • And yor Nippat is ready to eat 
  • Enjoy with hot coffee or tea !!
