6 tblsp wheat flour
4 tblsp maida
1 tsp red chilli pd
1/4 tsp asafoetida/hing pdr
2-3 tsp hot oil
1 tsp sugar pdr
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying


  • Take all the dry ingredients in a big bowl and mix well
  • Add hot oil and water gradually and prepare the dough
  • Knead the dough well and devide into 6 equal portions
  • Roll each portion into thin roti ,and cut into diamond shaped pieces with a pastry cutter
  • Heat oil and deep fry tukdis on a medium flame till brown and crisp stirring continuously
  • Store in an air tight container afer it comes to room temperature!!
