Surnali 3

3 cups rice
1 cup poha/ beaten rice
1 cup coconut gratings
1 cup curd
1 tsp methi / fenugreek seeds
Jaggery to taste
Pinch of salt
1/2 tsp cooking soda
Oil for making dosa


  • Soak rice,methi seeds in water for 3-4 hrs 
  • Wash poha and grind with soaked rice and curd in to a fine paste
  • Add jaggery,salt and grind again , keep covered overnight for fermentation
  • Next day before making dosa add cooking soda and make thick dosa ,adding little oil
  • Cook dosa only one side and serve hot with frsh butter or ghee !!!
