Mackerel Curry


INGREDIENTS:
2 bangda, mackerel fish
1 onion finely chopped
1 inch ginger finely chopped
2 green chillies chopped
4 tsp coconut oil
Salt to taste

FOR THE MASALA PASTE:
1 cup grated fresh coconut
gooseberry size tamarind
4-5 red chillies roasted in little oil
Grind the above ingredients into a fine paste and keep aside.

PROCEDURE:

  • Wash and clean the fish,cut into medium size pieces
  • Apply little salt to the fish and keep
  • Put the ground masala in a vessel,add salt,chopped onion,ginger and green chillies
  • Make it boil for 5 mins,now add the fish and cook till the fish is cooked ,for about 10 mins
  • Finally add the coconut oil and switch off the flame
  • Serve hot with hot rice and enjoy.
