Uppu dosa

2 cups dosa rice
1 cup grated coconut
1/2 cup cooked rice
1/2 tsp cooking soda
Salt to taste
Oil for cooking dosa


  • Soak rice in water for 5-6 hrs,wash well and grind with grated coconut and cooked rice into a smooth batter
  • Keep the batter covered in a warm place for fermentation ,overnight
  • Next day, add salt, cooking soda,mix well
  • Heat tava and put a laddle full of batter and spread it slightly,put 1 tsp oil and cover with a lid
  • Cook in a medium flame till the dosa is cooked
  • Serve dosa with chutney or any oter spicy curry.
