Mushroom Masala with Roti


INGREDIENTS:
15 button mushrooms
5 tsp oil
2 medium size onions finely chopped
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1/2 tsp turmeric pdr
1 tsp garam masala pdr
2 tsp red chilli pdr
1/4 cup milk
Salt to taste
2 tsp kasuri methi
Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing

TO BE GROUND TO PASTE:

Grind 2 small tomatoes with 8 cashewnuts into a fine paste

PROCEDURE:

  • Wash the mushrooms and cut into 4 pieces
  • Heat oil in a pan ,saute chopped onions until it turns light brown 
  • Add in the ground paste and fry for 5 mins
  • add ginger garlic paste and fry till the raw smell dissappears
  • Now add in the turmeric pdr, red chilli pdr and garam masala pdr, saute for a while
  • add the chopped mushrooms,salt to taste, milk and water if needed
  • Adjust the consistency according to your taste
  • Add kasuri methi and let it boil for 5 mins. Turn off the flame and garnish with chopped coriander leaves
  • Serve hot with poori, phulkas, naan or ghee rice.
