Gujarati Kadhi
Kadhi is a simple yogurt based sweet and spicy curry, goes well with khichdi. this can be enhanced in other ways also by adding pakoras or koftas.
INGREDIENTS:
2 tblsp besan (bengal gram flour)
2 tsp crushed ginger and green chillies
2 tsp ghee
Salt and jaggery to taste
!/4 tsp haldi (turmeric)
1/4 tsp hing(asafoetida)
curry leaves
1 tsp jeera1 tsp mustard
1 red chilli
PROCEDURE:
- In a bowl take besan, curd,chilli ginger crushed, salt , jaggery and 2 1/2 cups water and whisk
- Keep on gas flame and boil it
- Temper with mustard,jeera,curry leaves,haldi,hing powder and red chilli
- Garnish with coriander leaves
