Raw Papaya Halva


2 cups grated raw papaya
1/4 cup milk
5 tsp ghee
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp cardamom powder
3-4 saffron strands
2 tsp raisins
4-5 cashewnuts


  • In kadai put ghee and saute grated papaya for 5 minutes
  • Add milk and cover with a lid till it becomes soft
  • add sugar and stir till it becomes a lump
  • Garnish with cardamom powder,saffron strands soaked in milk,nuts and raisins roasted in ghee
  • Serve hot or chilled
