Green peas Kurma
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup boiled green peas
1 cup boiled cauliflower florets
2 chopped onions
1 chopped tomato
1/2 tsp turmeric pdr
1 tsp red chilli pdr
Salt to taste
4 tsp oil
chopped coriander leaves
FOR THE MASALA:
1/2 inch ginger
5 garlic cloves
2 green chillies
2 tblsp coconut grated
6 cashewnuts
1 tsp khus khus / poppy seeds
small piece of cinnamon
1 lavang
Grind the above into a fine paste
PROCEDURE:
- In a pan heat oil and saute onions till transparent
- Add chopped tomatoes and fry till it becomes mushy
- Put the masala and fry for 5 minutes
- Add chilli pdr,turmeric pdr and stir well
- Now add in the boiled green peas and gobi florets,salt to taste and water to adjust the consistency of the gravy
- Make it boil and garnish with chopped coriander leaves
- Serve hot with roti, naan or poori
