Khasta Poori

3/4 cup maida/all purpose flour
1/4 cup wheat flour
1 tsp crushed black pepper
1 tsp ajwain
2 tsp kasuri methi
1/2 tsp hing/asafoetida pdr
1/4 tsp turmeric pdr
Salt to taste
2 tblsp hot oil +oil for deep frying


  • Mix all the dry ingredients from no 1 to no 8
  • Add hot oil and mox well
  • Put water and knead a hard dough 
  • Devide the dough into small portions and make balls
  • Roll each balls into thin pooris and smear it with little oil and sprinkle little flour on it
  • Fold the poori into triangle,press the side  and deep fry into crisp khasta pooris
  • Enjoy with coffee or chai !!
