Tingalavare sukke


INGREDIENTS:
1 Cup soaked tingalavaro/ white beans
1 chopped potato
1 roughly chopped onion
1 finely chopped onion for tempering
6 tsp oil

FOR THE MASALA:
1 Cup fresh grated coconut
lil tamarind
4-5 red chillies roasted in lil oil
3 tsp urad dal roasted in lil oil
Grind the above ingredients into paste (dont make too  fine  masala)

PROCEDURE:

  • Put the soaked beans,potato cubes and onion chopped in cooker with 1 cup water and cook for 3-4 whistles or till the beans are cooked well
  • Transfer it in a kadai, add salt to taste,masala and make it boil for 10 mins
  • Heat oil in a small kadai and fry the finely chopped onions till brown in colour and add this tadka to the curry and your sukke is ready to eat 
  • Serve hot with white rice and dal !!!
