Andhra Chilli Chicken


THANKS TO KUDPIRAJ'S GARAM TAVA BLOG FOR THIS WONDERFUL CHICKEN CHILI RECIPE !!!

INGREDIENTS:
1 kg without skin chicken cut into medium pieces(I used boneless pieces)
20-25 green chillies(10-12 coarsely ground and remainingslit lengthwise)
1 tblsp ginger garlic paste
1 lemon
1 medium sized onion chopped
2 tblsp oil
1-4 tsp pepper pdr
1 tsp turmeric pdr
Salt to taste

PROCEDURE:

  • Marinate the chicken pieces with half of lemon juice,turmeric pdr,salt,half of pepper pdr and ground green chilli paste for 3-4 hrs
  • Heat oil and fry the slit green chillies till transparent ,remove and keep aside
  • In same pan fry onions till golden brown
  • Add the marinated chicken ,fry till oil leaves the sides
  • Transfer it into a steel bowl and cook in the cooker without adding water to the chicken
  • Pressure cook 5-10 mins
  • Transfer to the original pan,add fried green chillies,remaining pepper pdr,lemon juice and simmer for 5 mins
  • And Andhra chilli chicken is ready to eat !!!
