Poddale phodi/Snakegourd fritters

1 cup poddale/ snakegourd / paduval kayi
Oil for deep frying
1/4  cup rice flour mixed with 3 tsp fine rava

Make a paste of rice flour,hing,salt and chilli pdr with little water and keep


  • Wash and cut the poddale into 1/4 inch roundels or semi circles
  • Marinate with the paste as required and keep for 10 mins
  • Roll each pieces in rice flour and rava mixture and deep fry into crisp fritters
  • Serve hot with rice and dal
Note:If the seeds are tender then use it with seeds!!
