Butter Masala Dosa


Thanks to Kudpi Raj maam for the dosa recipe!!!

INGREDIENTS:
4 cups raw rice
1 1/2 cups urad dal
1/4cup chana dal
1/4 cup toor dal
2 tsp methi/ fenugreek seeds
1 fistful poha/ beaten rice
2 tsp sugar
Salt to taste
Oil or butter for cooking dosa

PROCEDURE:

  • Soak the ingredients no 1 to no 5 for 5-6 hrs
  • Wash the poha and grind along with soaked ingredients into a fine batter
  • Allow to ferment for 7-8 hrs,add sugar and salt to the batter before making dosa
  • Mix well ,heat tava and make thin dosas using butter or oil 
  • Serve hot with potato bhaji and chutney
MAKING OF POTATO BHAJI:

For the bhaji heat 3 tsp oil in a pan,add 1 tsp mustard,when it starts crackling add curry leaves,1 tsp urad dal,1/2 tsp haldi pdr,3 chopped green chillies and fry.add 2 chopped onions,salt to taste and frytill onion becomes light pink.add 1/4 cup boiled green peas,2 boiled ,chopped potatoes and mix well
